Hermosa Beach Fine Arts Festival
Jun 13, 2026
Every Thursday and Saturday from early July through the end of August, Fisherman’s Wharf at the Redondo Beach Pier hosts free live music as part of the “Summer of Music” concert series — and it is genuinely one of the South Bay’s most underrated summer traditions.
Tribute Thursdays feature bands paying tribute to classic acts: the Grateful Dead, AM Gold, Eagles, Tom Petty, Weezer, Oasis, and more. The tribute concept works especially well in a casual outdoor setting — you get the full catalog of the songs you love without the arena experience. Saturday Sessions showcase local and regional talent across genres: indie rock, soulful pop, rockabilly, and classic rock.
The setting — open-air at the waterfront with harbor views — is as good as it gets for a free show. Bring a beach chair or blanket, grab food from one of the Pier restaurants nearby, and settle in for two hours of live music with the smell of the ocean. This is a great Friday-alternative if your weekend is already booked, or an easy weeknight outing if you live close.
About 10 minutes from Manhattan Beach, 5 minutes from Hermosa. Free parking in the Pier lot (arrives early on busy nights). No tickets required — just show up.
