Anatomy of a Skateboard Family Workshop — Hermosa Beach Museum

The Hermosa Beach Museum hosts a family workshop on Go Skateboarding Day exploring the evolution of the skateboard — from 1950s steel wheels to 1990s pro-boards. Participants aged 7–13 build and decorate their own miniature “tech deck” step-by-step alongside an instructor building a full-size board. Very limited capacity; both youth and guardian must register.
