Manhattan Beach Farmers Market
Jun 9, 2026
Manhattan Beach celebrates the 4th of July with its own distinct character — festive, community-centered, and genuinely fun. The city-hosted Pool Party at Begg Pool runs from 10am to 2pm: $5 per person gets you water games, a water balloon toss, swimming, and live music. It’s the kind of low-key local event that families in MB look forward to every year. Bring a picnic — there’s a great grass area to set up and stay awhile.
The signature feature of MB’s July 4th is the fireworks show at the Pier — an impressive display that draws a crowd to the beach and Strand. Snow Park for kids runs above the Pier area, adding another family-friendly option to the day. The walk streets, downtown, and beachfront are lively all day with the neighborhood energy that makes Manhattan Beach feel like the small town it still is at heart, despite the real estate prices.
One thing worth knowing: Manhattan Beach also hosts what’s arguably the best fireworks show in the South Bay in December (the MB Holiday Fireworks, voted Best Holiday Fireworks in the Nation by the Travel Channel). But the July 4th Pier fireworks are the real deal too — don’t miss it.
Parking fills up early. Walk or bike in from the Strand if at all possible. The earlier you arrive, the better your spot on the beach for the evening fireworks.
