Manhattan Beach Farmers Market
Jun 9, 2026
The Concerts in the Park series — now in its 49th year — is one of those local traditions that people who move here discover quickly and then never miss again. Two hours of free live music, a park full of neighbors on blankets, kids running around, dogs everywhere, and a communal energy that you can’t manufacture. It is, simply put, one of the best free things you can do in the South Bay all year. This is the last event of the summer until next year!
The 2026 lineup is one of the strongest in recent memory: Psychedelic Summer Band (60s and 70s classics — Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Byrds, The Beatles), The Matt Mauser Big Band (classic swing and jazz — America’s Got Talent finalist), The Tom Nolan Band (soul, covers, and originals), Radio Royalty (80s female artists tribute), and The Kings of 88 (classic piano rock — Elton John, Billy Joel, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beatles). Each Sunday has a different act and a different vibe.
Polliwog Park Amphitheater sits in the Liberty Village neighborhood, surrounded by the park’s trees and lake. The lawn fills up fast — arrive by 4:30pm if you want a good spot on the grass. Bring a low-backed chair or blanket (tall chairs block the views of people behind you). BYO picnic and drinks. No barbecues, skateboards, or pets allowed in the park. No admission charge, ever.
Parking can be tight. Carpooling, rideshare, walking, and biking are all encouraged. If you’re new to Manhattan Beach, this event is one of the best ways to meet your neighbors.
